Why Scouting?

Scouting exists to help young people grow into confident, capable, and compassionate adults. Through adventure, service, and hands-on learning, Scouts discover their strengths, build new skills, and learn how to lead — all while having fun with friends and mentors who care about their success.

At the heart of Scouting are the Scout Oath and Scout Law, which guide everything we do. These values teach responsibility, good judgment, respect for others, and the importance of being prepared. Scouts learn not just what to do, but why it matters — developing character that lasts long after meetings and campouts are over.
